FAQs

Choosing a financial advisor is an important decision and often the beginning of a long-term relationship. We believe people deserve thoughtful, straightforward answers to help determine whether a firm is the right fit for their family. Great advice begins with understanding what matters most in your life.

Below are some of the questions we are most often asked about Princeton Global, how we work with clients, and what you can expect from our team.

If your question isn’t addressed here, we are always happy to start with a conversation.

Is Princeton Global a fiduciary?

Yes. Princeton Global is a fee-only Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) and operates under the fiduciary standard. This means we are legally and ethically required to act in our clients’ best interests at all times. Because we do not receive commissions or sell investment products, our advice is objective and aligned with our clients. Our focus is building long-term relationships grounded in transparency, trust, and thoughtful financial guidance.

What makes Princeton Global different from other advisory firms?

Princeton Global is intentionally structured as a boutique wealth management firm focused on long-term relationships and thoughtful advice. Similar to leading universities that emphasize a low student-to-professor ratio, we maintain a low client-to-advisor ratio so clients receive personalized attention and guidance. Clients benefit from: • Direct access to experienced wealth managers • Highly personalized advice • Integrated financial planning and investment management • Institutional-quality portfolio management • A collaborative, team-based advisory approach We work with a limited number of families so we can provide the level of attention and care that complex financial lives require. Our firm manages assets for nearly 400 families and nonprofit organizations, representing close to $1 billion in client assets, while maintaining a highly personalized service model.

What types of clients do you typically work with?

Princeton Global works with individuals and families who want thoughtful guidance as their financial lives become more complex. Our clients often include: • Families building and preserving wealth • Professionals and executives with complex compensation or equity plans • Retirees and those preparing for retirement • Multi-generational families • Nonprofit organizations and foundations Many clients come to us when they are looking for a trusted partner to coordinate investment management, financial planning, and long-term strategy. While many of our clients live in the Northeast, we work with families across the United States through a combination of in-person and virtual meetings.

How do I know if Princeton Global is the right fit for me?

Princeton Global is often a good fit for individuals and families who value thoughtful advice, long-term relationships, and a coordinated approach to managing wealth. Our clients typically want more than investment management alone. They are looking for a trusted advisor who can help them think through important financial decisions, coordinate planning across investments, taxes, and estate planning, and provide guidance as their lives evolve. Because we intentionally maintain a limited number of client relationships, we are best suited for families who appreciate a collaborative relationship and ongoing dialogue. The best way to determine whether Princeton Global is the right fit is simply to start with a conversation.

What does it look like to work with Princeton Global over time?

Our relationships with clients are designed to be long-term partnerships. Early in the relationship, we spend time understanding your goals, values, and the role money plays in your life. From there, we build and implement a coordinated strategy across investments, financial planning, tax considerations, and estate planning. Over time, our work evolves as your life evolves. We meet regularly to review progress, discuss new opportunities or challenges, and help you make thoughtful financial decisions as circumstances change. Many of our client relationships span decades and often extend across generations.

What services does Princeton Global provide?

We provide integrated wealth management, which typically includes: • Financial planning • Retirement income planning • Estate and legacy planning coordination • Charitable giving strategies • Trust and multi-generational planning • Tax-aware portfolio strategy • Investment management Our goal is to help clients align their financial decisions with what matters most in their lives.

Do you work with the children of your clients?

Yes. Supporting the next generation is an important part of the work we do. Many of our clients want their children to develop financial confidence and good decision-making skills. We often meet with younger family members to help them understand investments, planning, and the responsibilities that come with wealth. Helping families navigate these conversations thoughtfully can strengthen relationships and improve long-term outcomes across generations.

Do you provide tax advice?

While we do not prepare tax returns, tax planning is an important part of the advice we provide. We regularly make tax-aware investment and planning recommendations and work closely with our clients’ CPAs and tax professionals to coordinate strategies. This collaborative approach helps ensure that investment, tax, and estate planning decisions work together effectively.

Is there a minimum to work with Princeton Global?

In most cases, we work with clients who have at least $500,000 in investable assets or who engage us through our $5,000 annual advisory relationship. This structure allows us to provide the level of personalized advice, planning, and investment management that our clients expect. For families earlier in their financial journey, we are sometimes able to begin with a planning relationship that transitions into full investment management over time.

How does Princeton Global get paid?

Princeton Global is a fee-only advisory firm, meaning we do not receive commissions or sell investment products. Our primary compensation is an annual advisory fee based on assets under management, billed quarterly. This fee covers portfolio management, financial planning, and ongoing advisory services. Our standard advisory fee schedule is: Assets Managed Annual Fee First $1 million 1.25% $1 million – $5 million 1.00% $5 million – $10 million 0.75% Over $10 million 0.50% Fees are tiered, meaning that as assets grow, the marginal rate on additional assets declines. Because Princeton Global primarily manages customized investment strategies in-house using individual securities and low-cost exchange-traded funds (ETFs), clients do not pay an additional layer of investment management fees for third-party portfolio managers.

What is Princeton Global’s investment philosophy?

Our investment approach combines disciplined long-term investing with thoughtful portfolio construction. We believe successful investing requires patience, diversification, and a clear understanding of risk. Key principles include: • Long-term ownership of high-quality businesses • Global diversification across asset classes • Active risk management • Cost-efficient implementation through individual securities and ETFs • Tax-aware portfolio management We focus on building portfolios that can participate in market growth while remaining resilient across different market environments.

Do you offer customized portfolios?

Yes. Every portfolio is tailored to the individual client. Portfolios may include: • Individual equities • Exchange-traded funds (ETFs) • Fixed income strategies • Alternative investments • Income-oriented investments for retirees The portfolio structure is built around each client’s goals, time horizon, risk tolerance, and tax considerations.

What custodian holds client assets?

Most client assets are held with Charles Schwab Institutional, one of the largest and most respected custodians in the industry. Schwab provides: • Independent custody of client assets • Secure online account access • Detailed statements and reporting • Industry-leading cybersecurity protections This structure ensures transparency and separation between asset custody and advisory services. Schwab does not charge a custodial fee to our clients.

How do you protect client data and personal information?

Safeguarding client information is a top priority. Princeton Global maintains robust security protocols, including: • Secure custodial systems through Schwab • Multi-factor authentication • Encrypted data and communications • Strict internal compliance procedures • Ongoing monitoring for unusual account activity We continuously evaluate our technology and operational safeguards to protect client assets and personal information.

Princeton Global is headquartered in Princeton, New Jersey. Our office is located in downtown Princeton near Princeton University. While many clients live in the Princeton area and throughout New Jersey and Pennsylvania, we also serve families across the country through secure virtual meetings.

Do you offer an introductory meeting?

Yes. We are happy to begin with a conversation to learn more about your goals and answer any questions about our services. This initial meeting allows both parties to determine whether Princeton Global may be a good fit.
