Brett Shaver, CFA

Managing Partner & President

As president of Princeton Global, I work to build an outstanding team, investment performance, and client experience. As a portfolio manager, I strive to develop trust and confidence with clients—so that together, we can construct the optimal portfolio to achieve their financial goals.

My 20 years of experience in investment analysis has provided me with deep insight into selecting individual investments and understanding how these choices work together in a portfolio to deliver long-term results. My background has also provided unique access to leading management teams and an understanding of effective corporate governance—something the Princeton Global team strongly advocates.

I firmly believe financial success is defined by more than numbers and performance. It’s about understanding your ideal options and tailoring them to your desires, needs, and goals. I am always available to clients—and I love nothing more than listening to your priorities, sharing my perspective, and finding innovative ideas together.

Paul Gerard, CFA

Managing Partner & Chairman

As a founder and chairman, it’s my job to think long-term for our firm. As a portfolio manager, it’s also my job to think long-term for our clients. I’ve known most of my clients for decades, and I stay engaged with them to ensure that asset allocations remain appropriate as circumstances change.

Investing is something I’ve been passionate about for a very long time. It’s exciting and important for people who want to strategically build and enjoy their assets. I appreciate having the opportunity to work in this dynamic field and constantly meet fascinating people.

But most importantly, I enjoy being able to help my clients take control of their financial decisions in a way that makes sense for them. At the end of the day, I get to help solve big problems for many people. It’s rewarding—and it’s never boring!

Joel Heymsfeld, CFA

Partner & Chief Investment Officer

As the Chief Investment Officer, I’m tasked with monitoring what’s happening in the world and then determining how these events affect the world and U.S. economies. I’m focused on making sense of the global noise and putting it into a usable framework that aids our advisors in their client conversations and with their plans.

I’ve been in the financial services business for over five decades, starting as a portfolio manager for Merrill Lynch and BlackRock, and eventually serving on the Global Strategy Committee. Since then, I’ve been a portfolio manager for individuals and institutions and a mutual fund manager. And I was one of the first to join Princeton Global as a partner.

I’ve always loved the challenge of working in such a dynamic and complex industry. Now, I get to use my unique perspective and depth of experience to help our advisors bring the proper context, guidance, and support to their clients.

The first thing I ask my clients when I meet them: what is it all for? Because on paper, my job is to help you navigate the complexities of financial planning to achieve your goals. But in reality, it’s much more than that.

As a certified life coach and financial planner, my ultimate goal is to work with you to find fulfillment in your life. And while money is a part of that, I believe that getting there is not just about your finances. It’s about making the most of all your assets—including your talents, gifts, skills, and time.

I love working with people and getting to know them in a deep way. My strength is asking the questions that get my clients thinking about what really matters to them. And my passion is helping people become empowered to make confident, rewarding decisions about their own future.

Jim Kilcommons III, CFP®

Senior Portfolio Manager

I have close to four decades of experience in the wealth management and financial planning industries, working with a diverse client base that includes individuals, trust estates, endowments, and various institutions. Combining this experience with my passion for investments and planning strategies, I have worked diligently to help my clients achieve their financial dreams.

George Kinder of “Lighting the Torch” explained: “Each of us carries within a secret yearning … as time and life march on often becomes a secret sorrow. What does this secret yearning have to do with financial planning? Certainly, our heart’s core and our balance sheet both have to do with ‘value.’ Yet, we rarely square financial analysis and strategies with our own deeply felt and tender passions.”

At Princeton Global, as throughout my extensive career, I have sought to articulate an integrated investment and financial planning strategy that will allow you and your family to live the life of your dreams to light your torch.

Richard Moseley

Partner & Portfolio Manager

I work primarily with families experiencing inflection points in their financial lives. Over the years, I’ve found successful investing to be equal parts art and science. For my clients, the most fertile soil for investment success combines intergenerational communication, respect, understanding, and perspective.

Before joining Princeton Global, I had my own investment management business for ten years. Before that, I spent 20 years as an investment banker on Wall Street, helping founders and companies grow and flourish. During that time, I found that I enjoyed working with driven and interesting people the most. In my current role, I get to do precisely that, combining my corporate finance background with the deep talent pool at Princeton Global to help create a productive space for multi-generational families to have empowering conversations about—and engage with—their wealth.

  • NYU Stern School of Business, M.B.A

  • Raritan Valley Beekeepers’ Association

Rob Spadaford

Wealth Manager

I view myself as a financial guide—showing clients the different routes they can take to accomplish their financial goals while sharing with them the strategies they’ll need along the way. I enjoy helping people to “get up the mountain.” But equally important to help them get down: making sure they have a steady source of income in retirement, working with them to create a long-term plan, and giving them the tools they need to build a secure future.

As a musician and artist, I love engaging with my clients to think creatively. My background varies—from life and disability insurance to annuities and pension planning to traditional asset management. I use this multifaceted experience to provide my clients clarity and peace of mind with coherent advice and actionable plans.

George Wislar

Partner & Portfolio Manager

With 35+ years of experience in financial planning, investment management, and life coaching, I help my clients see what’s possible—and work with them to make it a reality. It’s important to me that I offer not only a practical plan for their future, but also a positive point of view around what they can achieve.

I’ve worked at a variety of firms throughout my career, including Paine Webber, UBS, and now Princeton Global. After decades in the industry, one thing that remains the same is how much I love building deep, lifelong relationships with my clients and getting to be part of their journey. There’s truly no better moment than being able to tell someone they can retire!
